  • Introducing VAPOR 3 - Beta!

    NCAR is pleased to release a beta version of VAPOR 3.  This refactorization of VAPOR introduces new capabilities, including improved support for gridded data, the rendering of multiple model datasets simultaneously, and an improved user interface.  To download and learn more, click the VAPOR 3 menu at the top of the website.

  • VAPOR 2.6.0 Released!

    Our latest official release is now live!  Vapor 2.6.0 presents a hardened version of our previous release candidate that included an online video encoder, statistical analysis tools, graphig tools, and various other capabilities.  Read more in our release notes here, and download it for installation here!

    Interested in techniques used to visualize the state of the art in tornado simulation?  The following video demonstrates the rendering capabilities of VAPOR on a first of its kind F5 tornado model, provided by Leigh Orf.  The data can be acquired in the example data library on this website, and the tutorial can be watched here.
